My experience is that alot of girls riding now have boyfriends on HD and don't want their girlfriends on anything else. So they get the 883 Sporster or Hugger which is and entry level bike and smaller.
I know a girl that wants to learn to ride but her boyfriend wants her to get a HD. She can't afford one and doesn't want to start of something that big. Boyfriend won't give in so she doesn't ride. I told her to tell her boyfriend he should be more concerned about her safety than her ride. She could move up when she feels comfortable. He hasn't offered to buy her the bike either! Some people just won't be seen with anyone unless they ride a HD. What a waste.
